Port containers

Weekly import containers: Alexandria port to Borg El Arab

Alexandria port → Borg El Arab Packaging factory (name withheld)

A packaging factory in the Borg El Arab industrial zone imports its raw material in 40 ft containers through Alexandria port. We collect each container after customs release, deliver it to the factory in an agreed time slot, wait for unloading and return the empty to the shipping line’s yard before the free days run out. Around 10 to 14 containers a week; the driver’s name and truck number reach the factory the day before every move.

Port containers

Machinery containers from El Dekheila port to 10th of Ramadan City

El Dekheila port → 10th of Ramadan City Engineering factory (name withheld)

An engineering factory received 36 forty-foot containers of machinery parts for a new production line. We planned the moves with the factory’s receiving team so no more than four containers waited at the gate at once, ran most trips at night to avoid ring-road traffic, and returned every empty within two days of delivery. The whole batch was cleared from the port in three weeks.

Building materials to construction sites in New Alamein

Alexandria → New Alamein Construction contractor (name withheld)

A contractor building on the North Coast needed steel bars, tiles and palletised materials moved from suppliers in Alexandria to two sites in New Alamein. We matched each load to the right truck, flatbed for steel and curtain-side for pallets, booked delivery windows with the site engineers, and sent a photo of the signed delivery note to the contractor’s office the same day.

International land transport

General cargo by land from Alexandria to Benghazi

Alexandria → Benghazi, Libya Food distributor (name withheld)

A distributor sends food products to a partner in Benghazi in rounds of around eight trucks. Before departure we check the papers with the client’s customs broker so nothing waits at the border; on the way the client receives an update at loading, at the El Salloum crossing and on arrival. Each round takes about five to seven days door to door.

Export cargo from El Obour to Alexandria port, ready for the vessel

El Obour → Alexandria port Food exporter (name withheld)

Hear from the factories, importers and distributors who ship with us.

“Our containers leave the port the day customs releases them, and the empty goes back before the free days run out. We stopped paying demurrage.”
